Floral + Polka Dot Nail Art~!

Hey Guys~!

I haven't done one of these in a while, so I thought I'd try to do one since I'm on spring break. Today I have this simple and really cute nail art tutorial.
 It's polka dots with a rose accent nail. No professional nail art tools are required, so anyone can try this.

You'll Need. . .
Pale Pink Nail Polish {My Button Fell Off by Spoiled}
Red Nail Polish {Lox-y Lady by Spoiled}
Mid Tone Pink Nail Polish {Candy-licious by Wet and Wild}
Lime Green Nail Polish {Innocent by Sinful Colors}
Top Coat/Base Coat {Clear by Wet and Wild}
Toothpicks
Paper to Put the Polishes on

So let's start~~!

First you want to paint your nails with a base coat, to protect them and prevent them from being stained. Next apply 2-3 coats of the pale pink polish on all your nails and then pain the middle nail red. I did this cause I thought it added a nice contrast of colors. Wait for that to dry before continuing.

Time for all the polka dots. Using the same red nail polish and a toothpick, make dots on all your nails painted pale pink. You can either make them really orderly or very random and sporadic, just try to keep them around the same size. Then with a lime green nail polish, make dots on the red nail. This took a while to do, so have some patience.

Now onto the rose. This may seem difficult, but it's really easy to do. Take your mid tone pink nail polish and make a blob, similar to a large paint splatter.

With your toothpick and red nail polish, roughly outline the blob to create petal-like shapes. Make a dot in the center and create more petal lines around it.

Lastly for the flower, take the lime green polish and create leaves by making a dot and dragging it out.

Finish off your design with a top coat and you're finished~~!

I hope you guys like this cute, spring inspired, nail art. Leave me a comment if you liked it and leave any suggestions for future nail art designs. Thank you so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

30 Day Anime Challange {Day #1: First Anime}~!

Hey Guys~!

I had a reading spree on Amaya's blog, Kiss My Insanity. I saw that she had done something called the 30 Day Anime Challenge. I also saw this on on DeviantArt too. There are thirty questions regarding different things about anime. I thought it would be really fun to do, but instead of posting all of it in thirty days, I'm going to spread them out. Today we're starting with day one, so let's start~~!

The first question is, What was your first anime?

I decided to not include Pokemon, since it's a lot of people's first anime and at the time I had no idea it even was an anime.

So now that we've excluded Pokemon, my first anime I ever watched was Mew Mew Power, also known as Tokyo Mew Mew. When I was four or five years old, it aired on 4kidsTv, which I always watched on Saturday mornings.

If you've never heard of Mew Mew Power/Tokyo Mew Mew, basically it's a magical girl anime. The anime starts with main character Zoey/Ichigo going with her crush Mark/Masaya to a museum to see an exhibit about endangered species. Afterwards there's an earthquake and Zoey/Ichigo along with four other girls see a strange light.

The next day she begins to act like a cat and after meeting Wesley/Keiichiro and Elliot/Ryo day finds out she has the DNA of a Red Data Animal. This allows her to transform into a Mew Mew, a magical girl who uses her powers to destroy chimera animals (alien parasites) that infect animals and turn them into monsters.

Besides Zoey/Ichigo, there are four other Mew Mews. A rich and spoiled girl who has the DNA of a Blue Lorikeet named Corina/Mint. A shy and intelligent girl named Bridget/Lettuce who has the DNA of a Finless Porpoise. An energetic girl named Kiki/Pudding with the DNA of a Golden Lion Tamarin Monkey. And lastly there's a professional model with the DNA of a Gray Wolf named Renee/Zakuro.

From Left to Right: Kiki/Pudding, Renee/Zakuro, Zoey/Ichigo, Corina/Mint and Bridget/Lettuce
As a kid, I loved this show. It made me want to be a Mew Mew and have magical girl powers. There were times I drew myself as a Mew Mew even. I still remember that my favorite characters were Corina/Mint and Bridget/Lettuce. I liked Corina because she, in my opinion, had the cutest outfit and weapon. Also she did ballet, which was something I did as a child. But I also liked Bridget because I felt like I was similar to her due to the fact I was an extremely shy child.

So that was my first post for the 30 Day Anime Challenge~~! If you want to do this on your blog, post a link to your post in the comments and I'll be sure to check it out. Thank you so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

D.I.Y. Bunny Ear Headband for Easter~!

Hey Guys~!

With Easter coming up, I thought I'd make a cute D.I.Y. bunny inspired accessory. I was looking around on the internet and saw these cute bunny headbands that remind me a lot of the one Rin Kagamine wears.
So today I'll be teaching you how to make your own bunny headband. It doesn't have to be for Easter, personally I'll wear this a ton during the spring and summer. So let's start~~!

You Will Need. . .
Fabric
Scissors
Matching Thread
Sewing Machine/Needle
Pins
Headband/Elastic

First sketch out your pattern and cut it out. You want something that looks similar to the one I made.

Next you'll want to pin the pattern down onto your fabric. Cut out two pieces and pin them nice sides together.

You'll want to have the back of the fabric facing you. Stitch the two pieces together using a running stitch. Make sure you leave a space so you can flip it inside out.

Once your done sewing and have flipped it inside out, sew the hole up with small stitches. Then get your headband or elastic out. It doesn't have to match the color of the bow,but I made mine so it did. Tie the bow around the band and make sure it's tight. And now we're finished~~!

I decided to take some selfies while wearing it cause I think it looks super cute. I really like how simple this is to do.

That was my D.I.Y. for today. I hope you guys enjoyed it. If you have something you want me to try to make, leave me a comment with the link to it and I'll check it out. Thank you for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Ulta Beauty Haul~!

Hey Guys~!

My mom's birthday was over the weekend, and she wanted to go to Ulta. I decided to go with her, cause how could I pass up the chance to go to Ulta~?! This was our first time going to one where we lived, so we were really excited. I got a few things there and I'll be sharing them with you guys. So let's start~~!

First thing I got is something my mom and I plan on sharing and that is the h2o+ Raspberry and Guava Shower and Bath Gel. This stuff smells amazing. It has a strong tropical fruity scent, which we both really like. And it was on clearance ~~!

When looking at the online catalog for Ulta that week, I saw this and I was really happy when I found it. It's a duo pack of EOS Lip Spheres. It came with one in Strawberry Sorbet and the other is Passion Fruit. I love EOS products and I always like having extra lip balms.

I decided to try something else from NYX. MissMeghanMakeup on YouTube always talks about this and I've really wanted to try it because of her. It's the NYX Cream Blush in Boho Chic. It's a very natural color with tiny flecks of shimmer. I've never owned a cream blush, so I'm really excited to try this.

One of my favorite colors in my Naked Palette from Urban Decay is Sin. Whenever I try to find a single of it, it's always sold out. But in my Ulta I was able to find one. I decided to get a single of it because I don't want to use up the one in my Naked Palette and it'll be easier to just take this traveling with me instead.

The last thing I got at Ulta is also from Urban Decay and it's the Naked Basics Palette. I know I buy a ton of eye shadow, but it's one of my favorite makeup items. I got this because I've wanted a small palette that'll be perfect for traveling. And I think this will be great.

So that was my Ulta haul. If you want to see a review on any of these products, please leave me a comment telling me which one. Thank you for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Elf Studio Baked Eyeshadow Review~!

Hey Guys~!

I've always liked Elf Cosmetics. They make some of my favorite products and makeup tools. Recently I purchased some single eyeshadows from their studio line and now I'll be reviewing them for you guys. So let's start~~!

The packaging for these shadows is really simple, just a round compact. To close it, it clicks when you press down. However because they are baked eyeshadows, they are fragile. So if not treated carefully, they can break. Sadly one of mind broke recently ;_;

There are ten different shades, but I personally don't feel like there's a huge range of color options. The three I have are Pixie, Toasted, and Burnt Plum. Pixie is a pinky peach color with warm gold tones. Toasted is a shimmery bronze color. Burnt Plum is a dark red toned purple. Out of the three, I found Toasted to be the least pigmented.

I did swatch these shadows both wet and dry to show you how well pigmented they are.

^Dry^

^Wet^

As you can see, when wet the color is more vibrant and pigmented.

I really like the formulation of these eyeshadows. To the touch, they feel super soft and creamy even though they are a baked shadow.

As always, Elf is a really affordable brand and each eyeshadow only cost $3. For the amount of shadow you're getting and since it's so pigmented, they're a great value.

Packaging: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Formula: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Pigmentation: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Price: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Overall: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I think these are great eyeshadows if you're on a budget and need some eyeshadows. Personally I'm not a huge fan of baked eyeshadows, but when I use these wet, they're amazing. If you guys want, I can make an eyeshadow look using these colors. Leave a comment if you want to see that.

So that was my review on the Elf Studio Baked Eyeshadows. Thank you for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

March Favorites 2014~!

Hey Guys~!

March is over, meaning hopefully spring weather comes soon.
 image
That also means it's time for my monthly favorites. I have a ton of things to talk about this month so let's start~~!

image

Makeup

Maybelline Baby Skin: This month I've been going to many different events and parties, so I've been wearing this primer under all of my makeup. This one is great because it  gives my skin a flawless look and helps my makeup last a long time.

L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow {Strawberry Blonde}: On days where I don't feel like wearing a ton of eyeshadow, I wear this color. It's an iridescent opal pink and what I love about it is it'll look like I'm not wearing eyeshadow but my eyes will still be defined.

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara: I got this last month and I've been wearing it constantly this month. It's a great mascara cause it gives great length and volume without clumping. Also it works great as a bottom lash mascara.

NYX Wonder Pencil: This is another product I've been wearing every day this past month. It's an eye brightening pencil, but also a lip liner and concealer. I use it as an eye brightener and it just wakes up my eyes without looking unnatural.

Wet and Wild Balm Stain {Lady and the Vamp}:  I hate wearing dark lip colors, but this one looks really nice on me. It's a natural red toned berry that created a pretty contrast on my fair skin. Also it's moisturizing, which is also a plus.

 image

Nail Polish

Sally Hansen Hard as Nail {Sheer Vanilla}: If you're looking for a beautiful base color for any french manicure, this one is perfect. It can be sheer or built up to a more opaque cream color. It lasts a really long time and looks very clean.
image

Perfume

Lolita Lempicka: I love this perfume. It is my new favorite and I wear once in a while to school and for every special occasion. The scent is a mix of licorice, vanilla, floral, and musk. That may sound strange, but it makes a great smelling perfume.

Manga

Volume 1

Pupa: I don't read manga too often, but the plot of this one really interested me. Pupa is about a brother and sister, Utstsu and Yume Hasegawa, who have lived on their own due to their abusive father and their mother leaving them. One day Yume contracts a rare virus called Pupa which turns her into a monster who craves human flesh. In order to save Yume, Utstsu makes a deal with an organization researching Pupa to become live bate for his sister. This may sound like a weird plot, but I really enjoy reading it. If you get scared of gore/horror, don't read this.

So those were my monthly favorites. Leave me a comment telling me some of your favorites from this past month. Also I'll be announcing the winner of my giveaway soon, so be looking forward to that. Thanks for reading and I'll see you at my next post.
