Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Mauve Review~!

Hey Guys~!

I just have to rant about how much I hate this product. This will be a review, but I think it's the first review where I'll be giving a product a ZERO OUT OF FIVE~! I hope you all will enjoy reading this review, and if you've tried this product before, let me know your experiences in the comments. So let's start~~!

The packaging for this blush is pretty clunky. It did come with a small brush, but I threw it away cause it was useless. I really prefer it when I blush compact has a mirror, but this one doesn't have one.

On the back of it the blush claims to have a smooth, silky texture, oil free, won't clog pores, and dermatologist tested.

The shade I have is Medium Mauve, and I chose it hoping for a dusty mauve/rose color as it appears to look.

Let's start with a swatch. . .

Yeah, it's barely anything. I was super annoyed with the lack of pigmentation, seeing that Maybelline is one of my favorite drugstore brands. I have tried applying this blush with multiple different techniques and it always turns out looking splotchy

These blushes cost $5.99, and that really angers me. I've tried blushes, like the Elf Studio Blushes, that are cheaper and are a million times better quality. If you're going to make an awful blush with a price like that, at least give me a mirror so I can depot the blush and have a mirror to throw in my purse.

Formulation: ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
Pigmentation: ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

I just hate this blush~! There is nothing redeemable about it and I only have kept it to tell you guys about it. I have read the negative reviews on the Maybelline website, and from that I've decided I won't try any of the other shades.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review. If you have tried this blush out, let me know your experiences with it, especially if they're similar. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Almay Liquid Lip Balm {Blooming and Apple a Day} Review~!

Hey Guys~!

Another lip product review~!! It seems like that's be the majority of posts this month, but I really am enjoying them and I hope you guys are too. Today we'll be talking about the Almay Liquid Lip Balms. I have two of them, Blooming and Apple A Day, that I'll be reviewing for you guys. So let's start~~!

The packaging for these is pretty simple. It's a tube with a doe foot applicator, which makes the gloss super easy to apply. Each tube has 0.34 oz of product.

In the line, there are ten shades offered. I like that there is a variety of colors. They offer nudes, pinks, reds, corals, and plums. The two that I own are Blooming and Apple A Day.

Blooming appears to be a pink lip gloss, however in a swatch, it is super sheer and almost has barely and pink color. On the lips it doesn't offer much color. It does give my lips a nice shiny without being super sticky. I wear this one over a pink or a coral lipstick for extra shine.

Apple A Day appears to be a red lip gloss. In the swatch, it is much more pigmented than the other gloss. On the lips, it gives me a red tint, and is super glossy. This shade is less sticky than Blooming, which I really like. I wear this one either on its own or over Benetint.

On the Almay website, it says that these glosses and dermatologist tested, gluten free, and hypoallergenic. I really appreciate that Almay does test to see if their product is hypoallergenic, being a person with sensitive skin and multiple allergies.

Price wise, they are okay. Each one costs $5.99, and that's alright for a drugstore lip product. Of course other products are more expensive, but I don't really think they're the best lip gloss I've tried.

Color Selection: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I think these glosses are alright. As not a huge fan of lip gloss, I do like these. However I wish the pink was more pigmented, and that both of them were less sticky. They do feel really nice and are moisturizing, which I really like. I would try some of the other shades, to see if others are less sticky and as pigmented as Apple A Day.

I hope you guys enjoyed this review~!! If you have tried these, or have a lip gloss you like that isn't too sticky, let me know about it in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Anime Boston 2015 Recap~!

Hey Guys~!

This past weekend I attended Anime Boston and it was the best weekend ever~!! This post will be super text heavy, and will include cosplay photographs. I went on Friday and Saturday, I woke up really sick on Sunday, so I'll only be talking about two of the three days. I hope you all enjoy this post and leave me a comment saying either which photograph is your favorite or what you would cosplay if you went. So let's start~~!

Friday of Anime Boston was on Good Friday, which meant I didn't have school. So I got to arrive at the convention earlier than normal and stay later too. Then I wore my Touko Fukawa from Dangan Ronpa cosplay. I wore it to Anime Boston last year too, and was really excited to wear it again.

When I got to the convention, I got lost when it came to finding the badge pick up line, and accidentally ended up in a Digimon Panel. Anyways once I got my ticket, I picked up a wig I ordered from Arda Wigs at their booth. The people who work at Arda are super nice and had my wig ready for me. I do plan on writing a full review of the wig, and for now I'll say I got the Ferrari in Indigo Blue.

The rest of the day was pretty chill, I went to a few panels and events. For the first time I saw the Cosplay Death Match, which is basically a character popularity contest, but it was really fun to watch.

Onto Saturday~!! Once I began watching Fairy Tail, I knew I had to cosplay Juvia Lockser. Prior to the convention, I met up with a bunch of other Fairy Tail cosplayers on the forum, and I was super excited to meet them. Also this was my first cosplay with an unnatural hair color, and I just loved having blue hair~! I was expecting minimal to none pictures taken of me, but no joke, I walk into the convention and three people wanted pictures.

I assumed that would be it for pictures, but I went to the Funimation booth, where they had a picture of the Fairy Tail cast. I, being the lonely fan girl, had my friend take a picture of me posing with the Gray Fullbuster in the picture, and at least ten people began taking pictures. Seriously, Funimation, hire me to go to conventions to promote your booth.

This Saturday was the best day of any convention I'd ever gone to. I met so many amazing people, many of which I'm still in contact with. Wearing Juvia, made me so happy, and I felt so happy when I came home from the convention. I was so sore from all the walking and posing I'd done, but it was the kind of sore that makes you smile. I knew that I had made so many peoples' day, even people who weren't at the convention, and I really wish I could thank everyone I met or who asked for photographs.

I hope you guys enjoyed hearing about my experience at Anime Boston~! If you went to the convention as well, or have ever gone to a convention, let me know about more experiences in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

Look Human Wishlist~!

Hey Guys~!

Recently I came across this website called Human, and I fell in love with a lot of the items. They sell clothes and other items. What I really liked was all the anime themed items, and I'll be sharing my favorites with you guys in a Human Wishlist. I do want to order some of these, so let me know in the comments if you would be interested in that. So let's start~~!

~Sailor Scout in Training~

I loved Sailor Moon as a kid, and I have been looking into tank tops to wear for going to the gym. So I thought wearing this would make me want to work out more. Also I just like the color scheme of red, gold, and navy.

~Screw Your Lab Safety~

Even though it's spring and the temperature is starting to warm up, I've been wearing some of my jumpers still. I really just liked what was written on it, being a comic fan and all. Again, I liked the color of the jumper too, and I would wear it at night when it's cold.

~I Was Up Fighting Evil by Moonlight~

This would be what I wear every school day. Fun fact about me, I stay up really late and I'm always tired. So with this, if anyone is like, 'But Alyss, you're always tired and lazy,' I can just point to my shirt.

~May All Your Wishes Come True~

I talked about my love of Madoka Magica in my Favorite Anime of 2014 post, and once I saw this shirt, I fell in love. Again it's a jumper, so I probably wouldn't wear it now, but I still want it and would wear it with colorful leggings or shorts.

~I'm 99% Sure I'm a Magical Girl Mug~

As a child, I wrote that I wanted to be a magical girl, mainly cause of my love of Sailor Moon and Mew Mew Power. I think this mug perfectly fits my personality and I really want it.

~Puella Magi Madoka Magica Bag~

Another piece of Madoka Magica merchandise. I love the color scheme of this bag, with all the pastel colors. I would definitely take this out to the beach or someplace else, since it seems like it could carry a lot.

I hope you guys enjoyed my Look Human wishlist. Please let me know which of these clothing or accessory items was your favorite. Also let me know if you would like a review in the comments below. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.

March Favorites 2015~!

Hey Guys~!

After a month full of lip product reviews, maybe I'll do another set of themed reviews? I really enjoyed comparing them all this month and I'd like to try that too with other makeup or skin care products. Anyways it's April, and officially spring, so now it's time for my monthly favorites. So let's start~~!

Makeup

Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate: I've been obsessed this month from trying different lip colors, but this one from Korres is one of my favorites. It's a really nice jelly texture and the color is a nice pink tint. It makes my lips feel really moisturized and I just love it.

Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara: This mascara is coming back into my life, and I just love it. I used to wear this mascara in middle school and recently I've gotten back into it. It gives my lashes length and volume, without looking too dramatic. It's a great everyday mascara.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette: I haven't been super into eyeshadow this month, but when I wear it I've been using this palette. The colors are all nice neutrals and are super blend-able, making it really easy to create a variety of looks.

Jewelry and Accessories

Bow Necklace from Forever21: I love simple necklaces like this one for everyday. It's a gold bow, and you know I'm obsessed with anything with a bow or has a bow on it. I have gotten multiple compliments on this necklace, and it's easy to wear with anything.

Bunny Ear Sunglasses: Another thing with a bow~!! These sunglasses are super cute and I've been carrying them around in my purse so I can throw them on whenever it's sunny. I'll definitely wear them more often in the summer, but for now they are here to remind me warm weather is coming.

Nail Polish

Essie Nail Polish in For the Twirl of It: This is the month of Essie nail polishes. I wore this one at the beginning of the month, and I'd forgotten how much I love it. The duo chrome looks really interesting, especially if you wear a matte top coat over it.

Essie Nail Polish in Coat Azure: I have a lot of blue nail polish, and this one is just the perfect blue. It's not too crazy and looks really nice. It isn't a super bold blue, so I really think anyone can wear it.

Anime
Mirrai Nikki: I just started this anime at the end of the month, but I can tell I'll really like it. I enjoy psychological horror anime and Mirrai Nikki, or Future Diary, is a great representation of the genre.

Those were my favorites from the month of March. Share some of your favorites in the comments below, I'd love to hear them. Also I'll be going to Anime Boston this weekend, and I have a super special announcement for you guys, so stay tuned on all the details. Thank you guys so much for reading and I'll see you at my next post.
